Kathmandu: In the last 24 hours, an additional 3,481 people have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 2,616 out of 10,907 PCR tests and 865 out of 5,749 antigen tests tested positive. Of them, 964 have been found infected in Kathmandu Valley.
In the last 24 hours, 30 people have died and 1,885 have been cured of the infection.
With the addition of Wednesday, the total number of corona infections in Nepal has reached 723,296. At the same time, the death toll in Nepal has reached 10,180 and 675,083 people have been recovered from infections.
According to the ministry, the number of active infected people in the country is 38,033. Out of which 34,813 are in home isolation and 3,220 are in institutional isolation. Of the corona patients, 796 are being treated in the ICU and 184 in the ventilator.
