Kathmandu: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Padma Kumari Aryal has urged the newly elected leadership of the Nepal Veterinary Council to launch an awareness campaign on animal health. Congratulating the newly elected leadership at the Ministry on Friday, she suggested to make a program related to animal health awareness campaign.
Although animal health is directly related to human health, there is a tendency in Nepali society not to give much importance to animal health, she said, adding that the issue of animal health needs to be promoted as a campaign.
“Human health is directly linked to animal health. But we have a tendency not to be so conscious about animal health since yesterday ‘, said Minister Aryal. But that atmosphere is yet to be created in the village.
Urging her to make her tenure a model, she also urged him to play a role in making the veterinary sector better and better. Urging to work for the betterment and advancement of those engaged in the field of veterinary medicine professionally, she suggested to focus on what can be done to make policy reforms to overcome the challenges of the business sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Registrar of the Council Narayan Ghimire and newly elected Vice-Chairman Dr. Subir Singh informed that the educational institutions related to veterinary medicine are being upgraded.
