Kathmandu: Corona virus infection has been confirmed in 80 people in the last 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population among 1,117 samples 80 people were tested positive.
During this period, 12 more infected people have recovered. The number of active corona virus infected people in Nepal has reached 279 people.
Meanwhile, Omicron’s new variant ‘XBB 1.16’ has also been confirmed in Nepal.
The Ministry has requested to comply with public health standards and to avoid possible risks.
