Kathmandu: Independent candidate for the post of mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balen Shah has maintained his wide lead.
In the current situation till 7 pm Tuesday, Shah is leading with 5,999 votes.
Till the time, 33,222 votes have been counted and Shah is leading with 12,877 votes. His rival Keshav Sthapit of the CPN-UML is behind with 6,878 votes.
Sirjana Singh of the Nepali Congress has received 6,101 votes on behalf of the coalition.
Similarly, Sunita Dangol of CPN-UML has maintained wide lead in the post of deputy mayor. Dangol is leading with 12,315 votes.
