Kathmandu: It has been 29 years today, late Pasang Lhamu Sherpa scaled the Mt. Everest and became the first Nepali woman to summit the peak.
Nepal Mountain Academy marks the day as the “Pasang Lhamu Memorial Day” every year to honor and remember Pasang Lhamu Sherpa.
The day is also when Pasang Lhamu Sherpa passed away.
