Kathmandu: The Bibeksheel Sajha Party, led by Rabindra Mishra, has fielded women candidates for both the posts of mayor and deputy mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC).
At a press conference held in Lalitpur, it was informed that Samiksha Baskota and Kirti Tuladhar have been nominated for the post of mayor and deputy mayor respectively.
Mishra, the party’s coordinator, claimed that his party had fielded a candidate for mayor and deputy mayor in a bid to change the face of the polluted, unorganized and concrete jungle of Kathmandu.
The pledge emphasizes on corruption control, good governance and service delivery, education, health and social security and protection of Newa: art and culture, provision of electric transport, cleaning of rivers, wells, lakes and streams.
