Kathmandu: The Chitwan Tigers have clinched their third consecutive victory in the Everest Premier League (EPL). Chitwan defeated Pokhara Rhinos by one wicket in the second match played at Kirtipur on Friday.
Chitwan met the target of 124 runs set by Pokhara by losing one wicket in 16 overs.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Pokhara lost seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 123 runs. Pokhara’s Vivek Yadav played an unbeaten 53-run half-century innings. Shahab Alam and Kamal Singh Airy of Chitwan took two wickets apiece.
With this victory, Chitwan has reached the top of the table by adding six points in three games. Pokhara is in the fourth position with three points from three games.
