Kathmandu: Nepali Congress Vice President Vijay Kumar Gachchhadar, who had beed prisoned on a corruption case in the Baluwatar land case, has been released on bail.
He was released on Rs 1 million bail in a special court on Wednesday. The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority had filed a corruption case against Gachchhadar in a special court on the charge of registering the land of Lalita Niwas in the name of a person.
He had been absconding for a long time and appeared in a special court on Wednesday. A bench of special court chairman Prem Raj Karki, members Abdul Aziz Musalman and Nityananda Pandey ordered Gachchhadar’s release on Rs 1 million bail.
