Finance Minister’s first decision: 5 billion budget agreement to purchase covid vaccine

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Finance has signed a budget agreement of Rs 5 billion to the Ministry of Health and Population to purchase the covid vaccine. Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has submitted a total of four files during his inauguration on Wednesday.

In one of the files, the budget agreement was to be given to the Ministry of Health for the purchase of vaccines. The Ministry of Finance has also approved the budget for various federal, provincial, district and local level health institutions.

A file has also been filed regarding the purchase of ICU, HDU and ventilator from the health department. The finance ministry has also submitted a file to provide Rs. 524.6 million to the provincial and local hospitals as per the earlier agreement.
