Kathmandu: The government has decided to resume domestic and international flights with conditions. The cabinet meeting on Monday has decided to resume the flight by setting quota system according to the destination and the airline company.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, domestic flights will not exceed 50 percent of the total number. The schedule and date will be decided by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
The Ministry of Tourism is preparing to set the schedule by Wednesday. The government has decided to add regular international flights as well.
Now, Nepal Airlines Corporation will operate two flights on the Kathmandu-Doha route and Qatar Airlines will operate two flights four times a week. There will be two flights a week on the Kathmandu-Istanbul route and four flights a week on the Kathmandu-Dubai route.
The Kathmandu-Dammam route will have two flights a year, the Kathmandu-Kuwait route two a week, the Kathmandu-Muscat once a week flight and the Malaysian route four a week.
One flight to South Korea and one to Japan have been resumed. The Kathmandu-Chengdu and Guangzhou routes are allowed to operate once a week.
