Kathmandu: The government has decided that only 13 checkpoints will remain open for Nepali citizens who want to return home from India.
According to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the movement of foreign nationals has been stopped while 13 checkpoints have been identified for Nepali nationals.
It has been said that the management of such citizens should be done at the local level in coordination with the province government. All those coming from India should be tested and sent to the concerned local level only if they come back with negative report of covid test.
Even if it is negative, they will have to stay in the mandatory home quarantine for 10 days. And, the responsibility of monitoring it has also been given to the local level. The government has also suspended international flights from May 6 to May 14. However, two flights a week to India will be operated.
However, people coming from India will also have to stay in the mandatory quarantine. Its inspection, monitoring, and management will be done in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
