Kathmandu: The Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) has recommended postponing all exams.
A CCMC meeting held on Sunday recommended postponing the examinations at all levels. As per this recommendation, all school and campus examinations will now be postponed.
Earlier, the cabinet meeting held on Monday last week had decided not to stop the ongoing examination while issuing a restraining order. However, it has been recommended to stop all the exams saying that the exams are crowded and classes are being conducted.
The meeting recommended that the District Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC) be given the power to decide on the lockdown based on the state of the transition. The DCCMC had recommended lockdon if there seems 200 infected people in the hilly region and 500 in urban areas.
According to the data of the Ministry of Health and Population on Sunday, the number of infected people has exceeded 500 in all the three districts of Kathmandu Valley as well as Morang, Parsa, Kaski, Dang, Banke and Rupandehi.
