Kathmandu: Eleven writ petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court against the government’s move to dissolve parliament. Eleven writ petitions were filed in the court on Sunday and Monday.
Although 13 writ petitions have been filed, only 11 have been registered. As per the Supreme Court, the writ petition would be filed on Wednesday.
In most of the writ petitions, it has been demanded that the dissolution of the parliament be declared unconstitutional.
Santosh Bhandari, Kanchan Krishna Neupane, Sulabh Kharel, Lokendra Bahadur Oli and Keshar Jung KC, Gyanendra Aran, Shalikram Sapkota, Kamal Bahadur Khatri, Maniram Upadhyay, Dinesh Tripathi, Amita Gautam Poudel, and Krishna Prasad Shrestha have filed the writ petition.
