Kathmandu: The annual Pulsar Sports Award organized by Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) is scheduled to be held on January 12, 2021.
The forum announced the date of this year’s award program at a press conference on Sunday. While Nepali sports have been affected due to the corona epidemic, the award program has also been delayed.
The award will be held virtually, the forum said. Due to the Corona epidemic, the program is being conducted through semi-virtual medium keeping in mind the civic health standards implemented by the government.
In the award program, awards will be given to the best players of the year, men, women, youth and coaches.
Similarly, awards will be given in a total of 9 categories including Mercury Athlete, Special, Lifetime Achievement. Similarly, the International Asian Sports Journalist Award, which was added last year, will also be continued.
The award will be distributed on the basis of the performance made in 2019.
Pulsar motorcycles will be given to the winners of four categories including the best player of the year, male, female, people’s choice and coach, while the winners of other categories will get Rs 50,000 in cash.
A main organizing committee has been formed for the award program under the chairmanship of Durganath Subedi.
