Kathmandu: Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, is set to lead the country’s delegation at the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC in Dubai, UAE, from November 30 to December 12.
The Ministry of Forests and Environment (MoFE) is making extensive preparations for Nepal’s significant participation, highlighted in a recent program where Dr Popular Gentle, a Development Management Expert to the Prime Minister, emphasized the strong delegation, including ministers and experts, under PM Dahal’s leadership.
This marks Nepal’s fourth participation at the Head of State or Government level, with the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’ recent visit boosting anticipation.
Notably, Nepal will debut its own pavilion at COP-28, featuring over 30 topics, signaling an increased commitment to addressing climate issues on the global stage.
