Kathmandu: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has prepared to give the ground handling responsibility of Gautam Buddha International Airport to the private airline company Himalayan Airlines.
It was expected by many that the Nepal Airlines Corporation, which has been providing ground handling service at Tribhuvan International Airport, will be responsible for ground handling at Gautam Budh International Airport.
But the authority has made final preparations to give the responsibility to Himalayan Airlines.
Himalayan Airlines has informed that the authority will allow self ground handling at Tribhuvan International Airport and commercial ground handling at GBIA. The CAAN has said that the final decision is yet to be made.
