Kathmandu: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has decided to form women’s network in all wards.
Sunita Dangol, Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has given formal information about this decision.
Speaking at the ‘Kathmanda Metropolitan City, Ward Women’s Network: Discussion on Formation and Operation’ program held in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Deputy Mayor Dangol instructed the wards to form women’s networks in all the wards within a week.
She also said that there will be no discrimination against men while working in that network.
The main objective of the Judicial Committee and Women’s Network is reconciliation.
The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has already established reconciliation centers in all wards for conflict management in the society.
Deputy Mayor Dangol said that the center had to be established to end the discrimination between men and women by creating an atmosphere of harmony in the society.
