Kathmandu: Around 600 candidates have withdrawn their nomination for the election of the House of Representatives and the province Assembly.
According to the Election Commission, 483 people have withdrawn their nomination papers, including 114 for election of the House of Representatives.
The total number of candidates for the election of House of Representatives has now decreased to 2,412.
Likewise the number of candidates for the province assembly, but has decreased to 2,993.
The Election Commission, which has set a deadline for withdrawal of nominations until noon on Wednesday, has published their final list and given them election symbols.
