Kathmandu: Two hundred and eighty-eight Nepalis have returned home after being taken over by the Afghan Taliban. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 118 people arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday morning, 84 at night, 65 on Wednesday morning and 25 in the afternoon.
The ministry has issued a statement saying that work is underway to repatriate Nepalis from Afghanistan and requested to register their details on the ministry’s website.
Of the 296 people registered so far, 16 have been brought to Nepal and the rest are in the process of being brought.
