Kathmandu: On the first day of filing nomination, 16 candidates have been fielded for the post of mayor and 17 for the post of deputy mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Similarly, there are 23 candidates for the post of ward chairman and 8 candidates for the post of ward member.
According to the Election Commission, re-registration of candidates will start from 11 am on Monday.
The commission has a schedule to register the candidature by 5 pm tomorrow.
