Kathmandu: The 13th edition of the SAAF Championship Football Tournament will be held in Maldives. A meeting of the SAAF Executive Committee held on Monday has decided to hold the SAAF Championship in Maldives from October 1 to 13.
Nepal and Maldives had submitted proposals for this project. After reviewing both proposals, the committee had decided to hold the match in Maldives, according to ANFA. Earlier, it was decided to hold in Bangladesh but he withdrew due to covid-19.
ANFA stated that they have agreed to hold the event in Maldives as the situation in Maldives is better than Nepal due to the corona epidemic. Maldives is also the former winner of SAAF.
