Kathmandu: Eleven people have been arrested for gambling online in Hetauda Sub-metropolis.
Makwanpur police arrested 11 online gamblers in a string operation on Tuesday.
Kuldeep Pathak, who rented the third and fourth floors of Rukmani Neupane’s house in Kamaldanda, Hetauda-4, has been arrested along with others for gambling online by operating a company called Surya Prasad Technology Private Limited.
Police have arrested Nissan Acharya, 23, of Lamsure, Hetauda-9, Rajiv Gautam, 24, of Kamaldanda, Hetauda-4, Nima Thing, 24, of Churiyamai, Hetauda-14, Bikash Bal, 23, of Padampokhari, Hetauda-12 and Josil Khatri, 20, of Manhari-4.
Dulas Tamang, 22, Tikman Tamang, 21, Amosh Tamang and Arpan Khadka, 20, of Bara Nijgadh-4 have also been arrested.
110 mobile phones, three laptops, five commuters and cash of Rs 145,075 from various companies used for online gambling have been recovered from them.
