Two CIB research officers receive international award

Kathmandu: Two investigating officers of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police have received international awards.

CIB Police Inspector Surdashan Panthi and Deputy Inspector Birendra Singh Johari, who played a key role in the arrest of notorious wildlife smuggler Kunjok Chhiring Tamang, have been awarded with the Fifth Asia Environmental Enforcement Award 2020.

According to Bureau, the award was given to them by the United Nations Environment Program. CIB stated that the CIB official’s award has once again proved that the Nepal Police Crime Investigation is strong enough.
