PM calls for unity for prosperity and happiness

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called for unity for the prosperity of the nation and the happiness of the people.

In a congratulatory message on the occasion of Nepal Sambat 1141, he said that he would be able to fulfill the national aspiration of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’ through unity.

Stating that the multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, multi-religious Nepali society stands on the foundation of strong national unity, he mentioned that the diverse fundamental tradition is enshrined as the common capital of the entire nation.

“We have embraced this national capital of unity as a cornerstone of nation-building,” Prime Minister Oli said in a statement.

Prime Minister Oli has mentioned that the country is moving towards development and prosperity through the institutional implementation of the people-made constitution. The Prime Minister said that the entire country has entered the stage of new construction in the field of structural, physical infrastructure and human development as per the new constitution.

In the message, Prime Minister Oli also called for celebrating Nepal Sambat and other festivals by adopting special precautions to avoid Covid-19, which has spread as a global epidemic.

On the occasion of Nepal Samvat New Year 1141 BS, Prime Minister Oli has paid special tribute to Shankhadhar Sakhwa, the then leader of social reform and promoter of Nepal Sambat in Kathmandu Valley.
