Kathmandu: Italy have reached the quarterfinals of the Euro Cup 2020 by defeating Austria with the help of a substitute player’s goal. Italy beat Austria 2-1 in the second pre-quarterfinal on Saturday night.
Federico Chiesa and Matteo Pessina scored for Italy in a game at Wembley Stadium in London. Italy will now play with the winner between Belgium and Portugal in the quarterfinals.
Italy’s record of not scoring a goal in international football for 1,142 minutes has been broken.
