Health Ministry directs hospitals not to ask relatives to seek oxygen for patients

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has urged the hospitals not to ask for oxygen from the relatives of the patients.

Ministry spokesperson Dr. Jageshwar Gautam said that the search for oxygen should be done by the hospitals and not by the relatives of the patients.

“The Ministry of Health and Population urges all nurses, doctors and health workers not to ask the relatives of the patients to go and get oxygen,” he said.

Many hospitals have resorted to searching for the sick, citing lack of oxygen.
