Antigen test mandatory to get in Kathmandu

Kathmandu: Antigen test has become mandatory before entering Kathmandu district from outside the Kathmandu Valley.

A meeting of the District Covid-19 Crisis Management Committee, Kathmandu, has decided to test the antigens at the entry points of Kathmandu district and send them to isolation if found positive.

The meeting also decided to collect samples for PCR testing of people with negative antigen but corona symptoms. The concerned municipalities at Nagdhunga, Dakshinkali, Tokha and other checkpoints entering Kathmandu will arrange health desks for health check-up and antigen testing and appoint contact persons.

The meeting of the committee has requested to update the isolation centers and quarantine centers in all the municipalities and the municipalities to manage one isolation and quarantine in their respective municipalities.

The committee has also decided to postpone the programs in public places and to fully comply with the health protocols. It has also decided to punish those who do not follow the protocols. The committee has also requested the municipalities to conduct contact tracing if anyone is infected in their area.
