Kathmandu: On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2023, Women in Information Technology (WIIT) is organizing a program to recognize one hundred and one (101) women in the field of communication and information technology.
The organization is also going to publish a book and honor them. Guna Keshari Pradhan, president of WIIT organization, informed about how technology can be used to bring about gender equality in the program to be held on 8th of March at Hotel Hyatt Place.
MP Sumana Shrestha is the keynote speaker at the conference. In the program, the former program coordinator of Asia Pacific Telecommunity, Elisa Raj Bhandari, will give a presentation on Global initiatives on promoting gender equality in ICT.
Similarly, Director of Wireless Services Directorate, Nepal Telecom, Minu Pradhan will present a paper on 5G technology and its potential impact on development of truly smart society such as smart cities, smart communities, smart households towards gender equality with 5G.
