Visa service regular from Friday

Kathmandu: The visa service, which was closed following the outbreak of the corona virus, will resume on Friday. The Department of Immigration had earlier shut down services other than emergency services.

The department has stated that it has decided to resume the services from Friday.

According to the department, tourists staying in Nepal for the next one week from Friday will be able to get various discounts and concessions for visa related work.

According to the department, free visas will be regularized by the Immigration Office, Tribhuvan International Airport when foreign nationals with valid visas leave Nepal within July 8.

Tourists who want to stay in Nepal, if they apply within 8 July, will be regularized by charging only visa fee without delay fee and fine, according to the department.

In Nepal, a tourist can stay on a tourist visa for a maximum of 150 days in a year. However, the government has decided to waive the tourist visa from this period.
