Kathmandu: Vaccination card has become mandatory for air travel. Meanwhile Antigen test will not be mandatory in domestic air travel.

Earlier, a meeting of the cabinet had decided not to make such a provision mandatory in the meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday saying that it would be impractical for short-haul air travel.

Buddhisagar Lamichhane, joint secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, informed the airline about this. Accordingly, the airline operators’ association has circulated its members.

According to the new decision, the passenger has to wear double mask. In this case, the face shield will not be mandatory. Mask will not be available during the trip. Passengers must have a vaccination card. Arrangements have been made to show the photo on the mobile phone if the card cannot be carried.
