TIA customs requests Nepalis not bring electric items while returning home

Kathmandu: The Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Customs Office has issued a notice requesting Nepali citizens from abroad not to bring various items.

The office has requested passengers coming from abroad and Nepali citizens living abroad not to bring emergency lights, power banks, irons, hair dryers, mixers, water drawing machines, etc.

Earlier, travelers and Nepali citizens living abroad used to send such goods to their families.

The office has made such a request through a notice that when looking at such goods in the ‘X-ray machine’, all of them look suspicious and they have to be opened and broken during the inspection.
