Tax evasion case worth Rs 7.43 bn against Bottlers Nepal

Kathmandu: The government has filed a case against Bottlers Nepal for capital gains tax evasion.

Director General of the Revenue Investigation Department, Prakash Poudel, informed that the Revenue Investigation Department has filed a case in the High Court, Patan, in the amount of Rs 7.43 billion.

The department had been investigating Bottlers Nepal for capital gains tax fraud. There is an allegation of capital gains tax evasion when transferring more than half of the ownership of Bottlers Nepal Limited from one company to another. The case has been filed against 17 defendants including Bottlers Nepal.
