Kathmandu: The Supreme Court has ordered not to resell SIM cards to other that was already issued on one person.
Currently, the telecommunications companis are reselling the sim cards to other person if the sim card holders kept it unused for more than six months.
The Supreme Court has issued an interim order not to implement the direction given by the Nepal Telecommunication Authority to remove the SIM card that has not been used for 6 consecutive months after the sale and distribution and issue it in the name of another person.
While hearing the petition filed by Sapna Bhandari, with the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology as an opponent, the Supreme Court gave an interim order to prohibit the implementation of the provision of monitoring until the final decision is made.
