Sonam Sherpa, husband of first Nepali woman mountaineer, scales MT Everest

Kathmandu: Lhakpa Sonam Sherpa, husband of the late Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, the first Nepali woman mountaineer, has successfully climbed Mt.Everest.

Yeti Group spokesperson Sudarshan Bertaula informed that Sherpa, who is also the chairman of Yeti Group, stepped on the peak of Mt Everest at 7:34 am on Wednesday.

Earlier, Lhakpa Sonam’s attempt to climb Mount Everest with his wife Pasang Lhamu was remained unsuccessful. He had returned from Camp-2.

Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, who made the record of the first Nepali woman mountaineer, successfully climbed Mt.Everest. However, se died on the way while returning.

30 years after Mrs. Pasang Lhamu successfully climbed Mount Everest, Lhakpa Sonam has reached the peak of Mount Everest.
