Kathmandu: About 20 percent of the land has been planted so far.
According to the Department of Agriculture, so far a total of 17.5 percent arable land has been planted while during the same period last year, 30 to 35 percent paddy has been planted.
Lack of fertilizer and irrigation has affected the plantation this year. It has been said that the government is trying to manage fertilizer for the plantation. However, as every year the government has failed to supply fertilizer on time. Moreover, irrigation has also been affected this year.
