Kathmandu: Public and private vehicles will be closed during the local level election on May 13. International flights will be regular on this day while domestic flights will remain closed.
A paid shuttle bus will be operated in Kathmandu for international passengers. The Nepal Tourism Board has stated that such service will be operated in coordination with Nepal Tourist Transport Entrepreneurs.
The Nepal Tourism Board is going to provide such facility to the air passengers keeping in mind the inconvenience of transportation between the airport and the hotel in collaboration with the tourist police.
The bus will run from Tribhuvan International Airport to various hotels and from hotel to airport. The fare for such a bus has been fixed at Rs 300.
According to the board, a route has been identified through Airport-NAC-Hotel Annapurna-Hotel Yak & Yeti-Thamel Chowk-Lanchaur Chowk-Shankar Hotel-Ambassador Hotel-Airport.
Another route has been decided at Airport-Hotel Radisson-Sangrila Hotel-Narayan Gopal Chowk-Maharajganj Chowk-Hyatt Regency-Chabahil Chowk-Hotel Dharika-Airport.
Airport-Tinkune Chowk-Hotel Everest-Maitighar Chowk-Hotel Himalayan-Hotel Solty-Grand Hotel-Airport Route will also run on the bus.
The shuttle bus service will be charged by the concerned service provider at the time of service.
