Service provider threatens to cut off internet service

Kathmandu: Internet Service Providers Association of Nepal has warned that the internet service can be halted at any time to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).

The association has stated that the NEA is cutting power transmission lines to major internet distribution centers across the country.

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has warned that the power supply to the data centers of internet service providers in different parts of the country has been cut off due to the disputed pole rent.

In addition, Internet service providers have been unable to provide internet services through Internet Point due to power outages.

The internet service provider has accused the NEA of not implementing the report of the high-level committee formed after the facilitation of the Nepal Telecommunication Authority and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
