Sandeep’s excellent start in the Big Bash League

Kathmandu: Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane has taken two wickets in his first match of the ongoing Big Bash Cricket League in Australia this season.

Playing for the Hobart Hurricanes, Sandeep bowled four overs in the first game and took two wickets for 38 runs. Due to the corona virus infection and having to stay in quarantine for 14 days even after arriving in Australia, Sandeep got a chance to play for his team only after the sixth game.

In today’s match, Sandeep-affiliated Hobart Hurricanes defeated Melbourne Stars by 21 runs. Following Howard’s target of 165, Melbourne lost nine wickets in 20 overs and managed to score only 143 runs. Glenn Maxwell scored 70 runs for Melbourne but the team could not win. With today’s victory, Hobart Hurricanes has risen to second place with 18 points.
