Kathmandu: Bibeksheel Sajha Party has elected a new leadership. Accepting the resignation of former party president Rabindra Mishra, the party’s central committee meeting held on Sunday elected performance committee member Samikshya Baskota as the new president.
38-year-old Baskota, the former convener of Bibeksheel Sajha Party Bagmati Province, was a candidate for the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City in the municipal elections held in April.
Before that, she became a candidate for provincial assembly member from Kathmandu area No. 1 ‘A’ in the 2017 election and won the third position with 27 percent votes.
