Rhinoceros died after falling into a drain in Chitwan

Chitwan (Rashtriya Samachar Samiti): A rhinoceros has died after falling into a drain of a road under construction near Tikauli forest on the East-West Highway.

Information Officer of Chitwan National Park Ganesh Prasad Tiwari informed that the rhino was found dead at around 3:30 pm on Sunday.

According to him, an estimated 8/10 year old female rhino was found dead. He informed that a team including park technicians has took out the rhino.

In the current fiscal year, 21 rhinos have died. Two of them were killed by poachers while others died due to natural causes.
