Kathmandu: In a remarkable surge, over 100,000 foreign tourists visited Nepal during the month of November 2023, as reported by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). The official statistics reveal that precisely 108,630 foreign visitors arrived in Nepal by air during this period.

The Nepalese government had previously set an ambitious target of welcoming one million tourists in the year 2023. With the latest influx of tourists in November, the cumulative foreign tourist count for the 11th month of 2023 has reached an impressive 918,308.

The nation is now just a little over 80,000 tourists away from achieving the government’s ambitious annual target.

Anticipating a strong finish to the year, officials are optimistic that the target will be met by December.

Highlighting the upward trend, Nepal witnessed its highest influx of tourists in October 2023, with a staggering 117,306 arrivals, setting a new record for the country.

The consistent rise in tourist numbers showcases Nepal’s growing appeal as a preferred destination for international travelers.
