Kathmandu: The government has recommended ending the special session of the House of Representatives with effect from mid-night.
The cabinet meeting held on Monday evening has recommended to the President to end the parliamentary session.
Taking the decision of the cabinet meeting, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has gone to the President’s Office, Shital Niwas.
Earlier, President Bidhya Devi Bhandari had convened a special session of the parliament for the purpose of seeking a vote of confidence from the Prime Minister.
A total of 93 votes in favor of the prime minister were cast in parliament on Monday. Prime Minister Oli resigned on Monday after failing to get the support of a majority of 136 votes.
