Ram Sahaya Yadav elected as Vice President of Nepal

Kathmandu: Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav has been elected as the Vice President of Nepal.

In the election held on Friday, Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) candidate Yadav has been elected as Vice President with 30,028 votes.

329 province assembly members and 184 federal parliamentarians voted for him, who has the support of Congress, Maoist Center, United Socialists and other parties.

169 province assembly members and 104 federal MPs voted for UML candidate Ashtalakshmi Shakya.

15 province assembly members and 23 federal parliamentarians voted for Janamat Party candidate Mamata Jha.

There are 333 federal parliamentarians and 550 provincial assembly members of the union in the vice-presidential election.

According to which, Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav got a total of 30,328 votes and Ashtalakshmi Shakya got 16,328 votes.
