Kathmandu: Chhabilal Joshi and Ram Bahadur Khanal, former directors of Gorkha Media, who were arrested for allegedly embezzling funds from a cooperative, have been moved from Pokhara to Parsa for further questioning. The two suspects, accused of defrauding a cooperative in Parsa, were transferred to Birgunj on Sunday evening after an arrest warrant was issued against them.
According to police sources, Joshi and Khanal are scheduled to provide their statements today at the District Government Attorney Office in Birgunj. Afterward, they will be returned to Pokhara to face additional legal procedures.
In a related development, authorities are preparing to transfer Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane from Pokhara to Parsa. Lamichhane, who is also facing an arrest warrant issued by Parsa police, is implicated in the same embezzlement case. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities collecting statements from suspects in several districts, including Rupandehi, Kathmandu, and Chitwan.
The case remains under active investigation as authorities work to gather additional information and proceed with further legal actions.
