Kathmandu: Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, the chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre), has announced plans to embark on a nationwide tour to listen to the concerns of ordinary citizens and highlight his party’s achievements during his recent term as the head of government.
Speaking at a party officials’ meeting, Chairman Prachanda stated that the tour aims to rebuild connections with the public and promote the positive work accomplished while leading the government. He emphasized that hearing from citizens about their joys and struggles would help in formulating the party’s future strategies.
In the same meeting, spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota revealed that the party has decided to strengthen its role as the main opposition. He noted that the discussions, which have been ongoing for five days, were conducted with a serious approach.
Sapkota also mentioned plans to expand the broader leftist unity through a joint front and to finalize the reorganization of the Communist Party.
