Kathmandu: Protesters set fire to the residence of Communication and Information Technology Minister Prithivi Subba Gurung in Sunakothi, Lalitpur, on Tuesday evening.
Police said demonstrators forced their way through security, hurled stones, and ignited the minister’s house. A team of security personnel was immediately dispatched to the site.
Valley Police spokesperson SSP Shekhar Khanal said efforts were underway to contain the blaze. “We have received reports of arson and vandalism,” he confirmed.
