Protest against CAN for lifting Sandeep’s suspension

Kathmandu: A protest has been conducted against the decision of lifting suspension on cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane, accused of rape.

On Saturday afternoon, there was a demonstration against the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) at Maitighar Mandala. CAN, including cricketer Lamichhane, who was accused of rape, called 20 people to the close camp for the match against Namibia and Scotland.

Cricketer Lamichhane has been practicing regularly since Friday. Sandeep was suspended by CAN after the allegations of rape were made.

The board meeting of CAN held in Pokhara last Tuesday decided to lift suspension from Lamichhane.
