Prime Minister Dahal takes swift action to curb harassment of Nepali travelers abroad

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has issued directives to relevant ministries and authorities to promptly address the reported harassment faced by Nepali citizens departing with visit visas and work permits at the airport.
The Prime Minister’s intervention follows multiple complaints received regarding the mistreatment of Nepalis embarking on international journeys.
During a comprehensive discussion with key officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Sharat Singh Bhandari, and Chief Secretary Dr. Baikuntha Aryal, Prime Minister Dahal highlighted the distressing experiences encountered by Nepali travelers and urged the immediate creation of a more accommodating environment.
In addition to these instructions, Prime Minister Dahal called for the implementation of awareness programs on foreign employment and visit visas at the municipal level. Emphasizing the importance of working in the nation’s and people’s best interests, the Prime Minister directed all relevant agencies to collaborate in ensuring smoother processes for Nepali citizens traveling abroad.
