Kathmandu: President Ramchandra Paudel has appealed to the German government to lift the ban on Nepali airlines operating in European airspace. This plea was made during his meeting with German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier, as part of his official visit to Germany.
During his visit, President Paudel briefed Secretary of State Lamsal about his tour of the Tribhuvan International Airport, where he highlighted Nepal’s interest in initiating services with Lufthansa Airlines and the need to revoke the existing ban on Nepali airlines in European airspace.
President Paudel concluded his visits to Switzerland and Germany and returned home this morning. Secretary Lamsal informed that a bilateral discussion took place with President Steinmeier of Germany, focusing on development cooperation, trade, investment, tourism, and vocational training, aiming to enhance the overall Nepal-German relations.
Secretary Lamsal claimed that President Paudel’s tour of Switzerland and Germany had been productive. President Paudel departed from Kathmandu for his trip to Switzerland and Germany on Jestha 29th.
