Prachanda-Madhav group strike today

Kathmandu: Today, the Prachanda-Madhav group of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has held a strike.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has instructed the transport operators to operate the vehicles even during the strike .

Activists have taken to the streets since morning to make the strike a success and a large number of security personnel have been mobilized. In some places, there have been clashes between activists and police.

According to the CPN-Prachanda-Madhav group, security forces arrested the protesters in some places in the morning. The police has arrested the youth cadres from Samakhusi at around 6 in the morning.

The Prachanda-Madhav group had declared an emergency strike on Wednesday after President Bidhyadevi Bhandari appointed the office bearers and members of the Constitutional Commission recommended by the Constitutional Council without a parliamentary hearing. At the same time, the programs of the third phase of the movement against the dissolution of the parliament have undergone some changes.

On Friday, the KP Oli group is demonstrating in Kathmandu. It is understood that the strike was organized to stop the cadres from coming from outside the district.
